Executor questions, answered

The questions we hear most before someone starts recording.

Is this legal advice?

No. ExecutorLedger is software, not a law firm. It produces drafts to review with your attorney before you sign, circulate, or file anything.

Will a court accept these documents?

The exports follow your state's court-style format, and each one says on its face when your state expects its own printed form, so the figures transcribe onto it. Twenty-five states and DC have their own formats today. Every other state gets the two general formats. Review with your attorney before filing.

What does ExecutorLedger cost?

Recording is free for as long as the estate takes, and every document previews free with your real numbers. $149 (one-time payment) per estate removes the watermark, with a full refund if you ask within 14 days. Exporting your records is free at any time. Usually less than one attorney hour, and typically reimbursable by the estate.

Do I need a password, or even an email address?

No password, ever. You sign in with a one-time link and a six-digit code sent by email. You can start recording before you ever give us an email address.

Who runs ExecutorLedger?

Kaivora LLC, a New Jersey company. It is software, not a law firm, and using it creates no attorney-client relationship.

What happens to the estate's records?

Nothing but you and the people you invite ever see them. There are no advertising trackers, ad pixels, or analytics cookies, and you can export everything, free, at any time.

Can a co-executor see the records too?

Yes. You invite a co-executor by email at whatever role you choose, and the estate's Settings page shows who opened what and when.

Can I import transactions instead of typing them in?

Yes. Upload a CSV from your bank and match the columns once. Nothing is added to the ledger until you review and accept the batch.

Keeping the books for an estate?

Recording is free for as long as the estate takes: the ledger, the inventory, the distributions, and the deadlines for your state. Every document opens as a free preview with your own numbers. $149 (one-time payment) per estate lifts the watermark. Refund within 14 days, and your records export free at any time.
